Menlo Circus Club Dinner

Chelsea and Brandon had a welcome dinner under the oak trees.  There was beautiful late afternoon light and the party was a perfect way to begin the weekend festivities.

Wedding at the San Francisco St. Francis Hotel

Ashley and Pascal married at the St. Francis.  His family came from Europe, with San Francisco being a lovely place to gather and celebrate.  Ashley wore a dress beautifully suited to her style - a remake of a vintage gown.  Alexandra's (the banquet room on the Imperial floor) always feels like being on a magic carpet above the city.  The rooms have soaring ceilings and splendid views.

The bride and groom were well taken care of by Robin Lewis of www.makeithappenweddings.com.

Wedding at the St. Francis Yacht Club

Kelsey and Steve met at Stanford Law School and came back to the Bay Area to get married.  The St. Francis Yacht Club and The Palace of Fine Arts were both places that were meaningful to them and their families - as well as being classic San Francisco backdrops.  Their officiant, a family friend, had pitch perfect timing.  Unbeknownst to me, he had also trained at Second City in Chicago (comedy) and was very funny.  Even more so, as it was unexpected to many of the guests.  It made for a wonderful start to the day.  I really loved the way they looked at each other - my favorite shots ended up being of them in profile.

An Intimate Wedding at the Ritz in Half Moon Bay

It was an honor being chosen to document Patricia and Joe's wedding - a couple who found each other later in life. They planned an intimate wedding at the Ritz. I loved seeing his twin daughters walk him down the aisle and her elegant father (in his 90s) escort her. Patricia couldn't have looked more stylish in her blue ombre dress and her cloak with a Grace Kelly like collar. Though it was a stormy day, between a break in the clouds we did a few photos outside on the rugged coastline. The dining room was set with a long king's table, with florals evocative of a secret garden. The couple started dinner with a beautiful candle lighting ceremony. They both exude a joie de vivre that inspires everyone around them.
