Orchard Wedding at Carneros Inn Napa Valley

Kelly & James married at The Carneros Inn. The ceremony was in the orchard, which set the tone for the casually elegant event - including the bride's orange suede shoes, the lavender and fruit in the orchard, and even a hammock for guests to lounge in. Instead of a guest book, Kelly asked the guests to sign colorful cloth squares which were then hung on a clothesline strung between the trees. (She can make a quilt later from the squares if she chooses.) The tables were decorated with simple succulents and fruit, and designated by sleek metal numbers - which gave it a fresh, modern feel. The favors were jars of Napa Valley wildflower honey and also a playful touch of jellybeans. Guests enjoyed a leisurely dinner, ending with a simple cake adorned with two pears. During the reception, an artist completed a painting capturing the mood of the day. It was lovely to see how inclusive the couple was with his two children.
