Regan and Reed were high school sweethearts. Their wedding at the spectacularly remote Santa Lucia Preserve was beautiful. They married in the redwood grove with the reception at the barn, which was transformed into a "preppy chic" haven. The dance floor always seemed full and many guests reveled at the photo booth.
Meghan and Matt met through a squash match - her twin sister making the introduction. I photographed her brother's wedding about 6 months ago and it was fun to work with their family again, as well as catch up with old squash friends. After the ceremony they took a festive cable car ride up to Huntington Park - a good backdrop for some romantic city photos. We then walked to the reception, held close by at the University Club.
A true romantic, Paul proposed in Paris. (Kimberly incorporated many Parisian details at their wedding.) Their marriage was also a blending of families and it was beautiful to see how inclusive they were. Just before the wedding Paul gave Kimberly a diamond necklace with three diamonds, each representing a child. They're all going on a trip together after the wedding. When I arrived, their immediate family was doing a toast before the ceremony.
Kimberly's brother married them and at the reception, her father made a wonderful toast, saying it's a lifelong endeavor - to train one's parents properly. Kimberly was a radiant bride, dancing most of the night either in her sparkly flats or barefoot. The light at the end of the day was gorgeous and we made the most of it.
